Revolver RTA by VandyVape | Comes with three decks or three airflow adjustments in one deck?

Revolver RTA changeable airflows

Revolver RTA by VandyVape is a single coil RTA that features single screw deck and changeable airflow system. It’s for direct to lung draw with good quality of manufacturing. It doesn’t come with three decks, it comes with one deck that is able to give you three different kinds of airflow adjustments.

Revolver RTA Package
The Revolver RTA comes in a rectangular box. Inside the kit we have the Revolver RTA itself with plug to reduce juice capacity down to 2ml, bubble glass to increase juice capacity up to 6ml, spare black delrin drip tip, pre-made 0.3ohm Kanthal coil and a bag with spares, which includes two blue screw drivers and spare orings, and QC card. On the bottom of the Revolver RTA we have a film that protects the tank from scratching.

Specifications of Revolver RTA
The Revolver RTA is made out of stainless steel with a diameter of 24.4mm, and it’s available in four colors, ss, black, gold and rainbow. On the top the Revolver RTA has a slot for fitting 810 drip Revolver RTAtips, top fill and tank with 4.5ml or 2ml or 6ml juice capacity, depending on the glass and plug. It’s strictly a single coil RTA held by a ceramic clamp and tighten with only one screw. The interesting part of this Revolver RTA is that it features three types of changeable airflow with spinning liner.

Revolver RTA break down
The top cap of the Revolver RTA, where hides top fill slots, has notches for convenient unscrewing. For the first time that you unscrew the Revolver RTA you might find the chimney section comes off together with the top cop, that’s because initially all orings are dry and it’s very hard to unscrew the top cap. But after the orings get wet, this problem will disappear. Under the top cap we have two big fill slots and a plug for the tank capacity reduction for TPD compliance. Inside the chimney we have spherical machining and threading.

The deck of the Revolver RTA
On top of the post we have one screw and ceramic clamp for tightening the leads. Unfortunately, the clamp is not spring-loaded, so you will have to rise it manually. Also it can spin and sometimes Revolver RTA build deckcoil installation is uncomfortable, especially for the first time. You need to insert the leads into those two slots and tighten it down with the clamp. One side of the post is positive and the other side is negative, separating by an insulator. On the sides of the deck we have slots for cotton and in the center we have pretty massive airflow, which can be changed with flat head screwdriver. On the side we have little screw, by twisting it we can change the airflow. There are three types of airflow, small round holes airflow, three oval holes airflow and two oval holes airflow. The screw that holds the airflow slots can be twisted in both ways. Also the airflow is not hermetical. Below the deck we have airflow adjustment ring with a stopper and two wide slots on the sides. At the bottom of the base we have gold-plated pin, information about the device, manufacturer and designer.

How does it feel to build on the Revolver RTA
Building coils onto the Revolver RTA is a pain. It’s uncomfortable thing to do even with standard fused Clapton coil that was provided by VandyVape. Because the leads are wider than the slots. We have to shift the leads a little to each other, so the coil will fit into the slots. Also keep in mind that the clamp is made from ceramic and it’s kind of fragile under high pressure. I happened to damage the clamp the first time I mount the coil. It just cracked in the moment when I tighten the leads. So don’t put too much force, or you will break the clamp. There are edges on the sides to prevent the leads to pop out. The wicking is easy though.

The airflow of the Revolver RTA
I like the small round holes airflow the most as it gives more flavor and it’s the tightest airflow among them. The three oval holes airflow have much better cloud production, but gives less flavor. And the airflow with two oval holes is somewhere in between of the small round holes airflow and three oval holes airflow in terms of flavor and tightness. Overall, if you want flavor, use small round holes airflow. If you want big clouds, use three oval holes airflow. And if you’re fine with both of them, use airflow with two oval holes.

Pros of the Revolver RTA
1. High quality of manufacturing
The threading and machining is top notch and overall quality is great.
2. Convenient top fill system
The Revolver RTA is very convenient to fill with top fill system. It can hold up to 6ml juice with bubble glass.
3. Interesting airflow change system
One of the biggest pros of the Revolver RTA is that it features an interesting changeable airflow system, which is actually working. It changes the flavor and experience of vaping on the Revolver RTA with the same coil installed.
4. Convenient wicking & Stylish appearance

Cons of the Revolver RTA
1. Ceramic clamp tends to be broken easily
First con we found for the Revolver RTA is that you can break the ceramic clamp. Keep in mind that don’t use much force while tightening the clamp, instead softly tighten it and test how the coil works to see if everything is okay.
2. Non-hermetic airflow system
The airflow system of the Revolver RTA is not hermetic. No matter which airflow you’re using, extra air will seep from the side. Although the airflow change system does work because when you twist the airflow the draw is changing, the flavor and experience is changing as well.
3. No 510 drip tip adapter
Since the Revolver RTA is a single coil RTA, and sometimes 810 is too much, a 510 adapter should be included in the kit.
4. Inconvenient to build the coil
The slots of the Revolver RTA deck is so narrow that even standard fused Clapton coil cannot fit. You have to shift the leads to each other, and the coil would begin to spring, making it harder to tighten it evenly.
