How to prevent your subohm tank from leaking?

prevent your subohm tank from leaking

Many vapers may be annoyed with subohm tank leaking. Today we are going to introduce you seven simple solutions to prevent your Subohm tank from leaking.

Fill your tank correctly

It’s the most common cause and also the most easily avoided. There is a tube in the center of the tank, make sure you won’t fill juice into it when you fill juice. If it happens, you have to clean it out. And never overfill your tank. Leaving some space at the top helps stop e-liquid from leaking out.

Close airflow holes before filling the tank up

This is one of the most important methods to prevent your tank from leaking, and it’s easy to implement. Just close the airflow holes before you’re going to fill up the tank. If you leave the airflow holes open, the juice will find its way down the airflow holes much easier.

Use proper juice

For coil heads that require large power (like the TFV8 and other TF series of tanks from SMOK), lower than 70% VG may cause leaking due to the thinness of PG and the juice ports size. Usually, the large power devices do well within 70% VG, and MTL devices are generally fit up to 70% VG. It is better to look at your e-juice label to pick your PG/VG ratio.

Keep a lid on it

Due to the pressure feature of tanks, if you leave them without the top caps, it will leak out from the airflow holes.

O rings checking

Worn O-rings can cause leaks too. O-rings should be placed closely to make sure the air seal is good. When you replace the O-rings, you should get the right size.

Check the seals

If the vape tank isn’t screwed together properly, e-juice can leak out from the openings.

Check for cracks

Check your tank if there are cracks or other damage. Even a thin crack in the glass can cause the juice to leak out. If your glass is cracked, an inexpensive and simple way is to buy a replacement tube.

Above are seven simple ways to prevent your subohm tank from leaking. Welcome to comment below if you have any other tips. Next we’ll discuss about how to keep your RTAs from leaking.
